Week 4! Day 5!

We had a fabulous final day of summer school!
We started today with our morning meeting. Today we introduced ourselves and shared our favorite dinosaur. We then jumped right into our topic exploration and read a story called The Day Dinosaurs Came With Everything. We learned the names of many amazing dinosaurs and laughed along as the little boy was given a dinosaur everywhere he went!
We then had centers where students could move around at their own pace, work on different skills, and play with their new friends.

This week we have loved making dinosaurs in art. Today, we used dinosaurs to make art! We painted different parts of their bodies and pressed them onto paper to make prints.

We had to give them a bath afterwards. (:

We then went for a walk and played at the local park.

After lunch we cooled down in the pool! Thank you all for a wonderful day today and for joining us for summer school!

Week 4! Day 4!

We started today with our morning meeting. Today we introduced ourselves and talked about who we love and why. We then jumped right into our topic exploration with the footprint of a TRex! We were all amazed with how big their feet were and are all very glad they are not around today. We tried to guess how many of our feet would fit inside one TRex foot and then tested it out. We were able to fit 14 shoes inside!!

We then had centers where students could move around at their own pace, work on different skills, and play with their friends.

For story time today we learned a song about bringing home a baby dinosaur. We loved adding actions to it and singing it together. Then during art we made a dinosaur egg to take home, be careful there is a secret surprise inside!

After art we did not have quite enough time for our math activity so we decided to get some exercise and do the dinosaur stomp!

After lunch we cooled down in the pool! Thank you all for a wonderful day today!
